Here’s a quicky version of my making a batch AlphaJoe Coffee (aka Bomb Proof Coffee). The longer version is below also and of course the science on the ingredients and full sources etc is HERE.

    Hi Will,

    as much as I love your recipe, drink it everyday, I recently had routine bloodwork done and my MD wants to start me on statin therapy, seemed like a knee-jerk reaction to an elevated LDL. I haven’t got the advanced lipid test yet as Monica wrote about on your website, but in the meantime I’m working on losing excess weight and cutting down saturated fats.

    Are there any substitutes you recommend I can use for the coconut oil?

      Per FB, it’s very unlikely a half t spoon or so of coconut oil will impact lipids, but the coconut oil offers no magic properties another oil will not per se. Cononut tastes good and combines well with the cocoa and other oils may not,

    Does this raise insulin levels? Love coffee but read it’s not good for insulin resistance?

      Per write up linked, data suggests it will improve insulin metabolism.

    Amasing…after, what 4-5 years, I’m still drinking this…the old way with Creatine, Tyrosine and unrefined, unsweetened cocoa and still a great way to start the day. Thanks Will!

      I and others have been using that formula for 10 years +. Finally decided to put it into a single product for people after all that time.
