Here’s one of my favorite MRP recipes. This MRP is nutritious, healthy, and filling. If one wants to lower the cals, drop one tablespoon of the oil. That will lower cals, and alter the macro nutrient ratios toward higher % of cals from protein/carbs. To figure out what dropping the one tbs of oil does to total cals and macros (if you are tracking such things in your diet): 1tbs of oil = 14g of fat and 120 cals.

This is similar to what I do. However, since I can't afford organic frozen mixed fruit, and conventionally-grown strawberries (which are usually included in 'mixed fruit') are one of the most heavily pesticide-contaminated foods, I stick with frozen blueberries, which seem to be relatively lightly sprayed.
I don't add any juice-just a little water, and usually also throw in a couple of small sections of frozen banana. After blending all that up , I toss in a few ice cubes one by one, blending after each one.
What I end up with resembles purple soft-serve ice cream. And tastes darn good 🙂

Thanks WIll for showing us an example of an MRP. I have a question regarding Vegetables. Is it overkill to add raw and/or steamed vegetables to an MRP ? I assume "it probably wouldn't do any harm and may have some benefits (although blending kills the fiber content of the veggies) " . Many of us (green smoothie) morning blenders,(who dont necessarily like eating vegetables, like to come up with the greatest/most nutritious MRP ever ….so I guess to ask directly , would adding (raw/steamed) Kale or Spinach or Brussel Sprouts make your MRP that much better ?? also your thoughts on green smoothies with mega veggies ?? Thanks Will

You can add what ever you want really, Sounds disgusting to me, but if you can drink it, more power to you. xD

Interesting, thanks for that. My son has a total aversion to eating fruit , so I made it into smoothies for him and then he can’t get enough of it! I also found some great smoothie recipes here and thought I’d share – lots of other great ideas there.
