A big problem with many diets is that they can really slow down your metabolism, especially if you're not exercising during the diet. Then when people give up on their diet and go back to their old eating habits, they have a slower metabolism and they gain weight easier than before the diet.
A diet is just that , a diet. Weight loss for the long haul is a life changing event. When you reach that point in your life and say this is enough and it's time for me to make a change. That is when you decide to do whatever it takes to live a more healthy lifestyle and start reaping the rewards. The change in your body further gives you more inspiration to do better and a new lifestyle is slowly but surely replacing all those years of self body abuse. You realize that you have the power to change for the better and then determination kicks in and you become a whole new person. I have lost 50 lbs. and will reach my goal of 100 then I will treat my body the way it should be. No more artificial crap to fuel my body. No more salt excess. No more sugar abuse. Regular exercise is now an integral part of my life. And I feel great.

Your comments and advice are right on, Will. In my younger years I din't know how many times I did the yo-yo thing. Finally commited to a plan and have stuck to it for over 10 years. Helped by the advice in your FLR e-book.

I think consistency is the rule for any long term achievement, wether its weight loss, muscle gain, cardiovascular health, even in bussiness you must be consistent and find a way that works forever in order to keep your results steady.. the big problem in this is that people want things fast so they go on crazy diets that can never follow forever, they get depressed and will not stick to the plan forever.. and most of all, you must change all your lifestyle, not just what u eat to get long lasting results..
Anyway Will, that hat and Minie Mouse cup are hilarious man, trying to talk about weight loss or muscle gain with with that on.. jesus 🙂
